Solicitor or barrister, LexisPSL Immigration

 We are looking for a lawyer to help drive LexisNexis on in its strategy of enabling law firms to deliver legal services more efficiently. Working within the Immigration team, the candidate will be primarily tasked with developing the LexisPSL Immigration product – a market leading online information service aimed squarely at immigration practitioners.

The ideal candidate will be UK qualified lawyer or OISC level 2/3 practitioner (at least 3-4 years relevant experience) with comprehensive knowledge of their practice area and extensive experience delivering advice to clients.

Essential:

Broad practical experience and technical legal expertise in corporate and/orpersonal immigration matters.

Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail — the ability to communicate legal concepts concisely and clearly.

A real understanding of the legal community and markets and, in particular, the needs of immigration practitioners.

 

Some areas interesting to us are:

 

-          British nationality

-          Deportations & removals

-          applications under Appendix FM and the European Regulations

-          private life and long residence applications, and

-          Challenging Home Office decisions by way of appeals and judicial review

 

Desirable:

Previous exposure to a law firm’s know-how and knowledge management strategies.

Previous experience of authoring articles on legal topics.
