Solicitor role:

Solicitors are encouraged to develop their interests and to become experts in their chosen area of immigration law. This may be publicly funded work including Judicial Review and strategic litigation, or privately funded work including all Immigration Rules based applications and human rights appeals.

Solicitors who wish to work on publicly funded cases must be accredited to at least Senior Caseworker level under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Law Accreditation Scheme (IAAS).

Salary: From £32,000 according to experience. 

 Senior Caseworker role:

Senior Caseworkers work primarily on publicly funded asylum, detention, and immigration matters. They have conduct of their own caseload under the supervision of a solicitor.  For this role you must be accredited as a Senior Caseworker under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Law Accreditation Scheme (IAAS) or be accredited as an Assistant Caseworker with an intention to accredit as a Senior Caseworker in the near future. This role can lead to a training contract for those looking to qualify as a solicitor.

Salary: From £25,000 according to experience.

Caseworker role: 

You will assist our solicitors with the preparation of their cases and have considerable client contact. You will receive excellent training, supervision and support. We will help you to become accredited under the IAAS as a Casework Assistant and progress to Senior Caseworker. After 12 months as a caseworker you will be considered for a training contract if your performance has met expectations. The role is suitable for those studying for the GDL or LPC part-time and also for those yet to embark on formal studies to become a solicitor.
